From the age of 12...
...I put up the Christmas lights on my parents’ house, more and more
each year. When my wife and I first got married we lived in an apartment
which didn’t allow for me to do much decorating, so I continued to hang
lights at my parent’s home every year until I had my own home.
When I had kids of my own I loved seeing their faces when they saw lights
during Christmas. I started putting up lights all over our home, adding
more and more every year to what I had. About 15 years ago, I really loved
the way my lights looked during Christmas and everybody started calling
me Clark Griswald, just like the Chevy Chase character in the movie
Christmas Vacation. So I figured with that name I should hang even more
lights. Last year everyone that walked by my house told me how much they
loved my Christmas light display and that they were sad when Christmas
was over because they missed my lights.
